How do I use the Ignore list?
Solution There are some instances when a registry key associated with an installed program is identified as an error when in fact it is a valid entry. This is because the item does not meet RegCure's criteria for being passed as valid. For example, empty registry keys can still be in use by applications that are not active at the time of the scan. If you remove these entries the program that uses these keys can be affected and can perform erratically.

RegCure offers an Ignore list. When the scan is compete and the results are displayed, errors are listed and selected for removal. You also have the choice of sending any items to the Ignore list. RegCure will add these items to the Ignore List and will ignore these entries with upcoming scans.

To send items to the Ignore list:
Click the Ignore link associated with an item.

To view items in your Ignore list:
From the Main window, click the Settings button and click the Ignore List tab.

You can sort each column on the Ignore list in ascending or descending order by clicking the corresponding tab in the header (these include: "Category" and "Registry Key").

You can remove an item in the Ignore list:
  1. Select one or more items.

  2. Click the Remove Selected button.
